Museum of Oxford
Located in Oxford’s Town Hall on Saint Aldate’s, the Museum of Oxford tells the story of the city over the centuries. Housing hundreds of artefacts, the museum charts the growth and expansion of the city, from the time of the Anglo Saxons and Romans, via the industrial revolution, and through the twentieth century. The gift shop stocks a wide range of gifts and crafts (many produced by local artists), in addition to a range of books focusing on the history of Oxford. Tours of the Town Hall, as well as exhibition talks, can be booked online.
