Wonderful, movie-like English countryside stay! This was the perfect English countryside house – straight out of the Holiday! The cute church in Bladon and then a short walk or drive to Woodstock for dining, bookshops and groceries. Not to mention a 5 minute walk to Blenheim Palace! The house was large, plenty of space for a whole family and a lovely kitchen and office space for work from home. The owners were delightful. Would absolutely stay again!!

Great location for visiting Blenheim Palace. We loved how the home was furnished in a shabby chic style, everything was perfect! It was clean, the facilities were fantastic, 2 bathrooms and an extra toilet, nice big kitchen with all equipment and white goods. 2 large rooms with 5 beds. Kelvin & Kate were great hosts who made sure we had everything we needed, communication was easy and they were very helpful.

This rental is magical and immaculate. The nicest vacation rental I’ve ever stayed at! It was spacious and immaculate. Decorated as if you’re in a movie. It was the perfect home base for us as we explored Oxfordshire. Great for families! Walking distance from Blenheim Palace!

Bladon Farmhouse was perfect for our visit to Oxfordshire – a great location for Oxford and the Cotswolds, easy walks into Blenheim Palace grounds, and a well furnished property that met all our needs.

The owners, Kelvin and Kate, were right next door, but didn’t intrude, and were readily available if needed, and very nice to chat to. The house was generously sized, large bedrooms and kitchen, and simply but comfortably furnished. The beds were genuinely the most comfortable we’ve ever had in a holiday cottage, with proper, decent mattresses.

Lots of information about appliances, heating etc. in the online property guide from Short Let Space, all made sense, all good.

Normally come home from a holiday thinking “I can’t wait to get back to our own bed/shower/sofa”, as there’s usually something that just isn’t as good as ours, but not this time. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Cotswold break! Bladon Farmhouse was a wonderful location for access to the Cotswolds and Oxford. The cottage is homely, beautifully appointed and had everything we needed for our stay from overseas, which was very convenient. The owner kelvin was very communicative and the welcome box of fresh supplies and a real Christmas tree was a wonderful and welcome touch! Would happily stay here again

Plenty of parking space with easy walk into Blenheim Palace grounds. Large rooms throughout. Nice outside space for when the weather is appropriate. Bus stop nearby to get to Oxford, Woodstock and Witney. Host left an appreciated welcome pack and provided logs for the wood burner which was much appreciated on a cold November weekend.

We basically only slept there as we were moving in to a new house so working most of the time in the new house. The Large rooms was a great bonus for us. Comfy beds with thick duvets that kept us warm. However it was cold and we didn’t see any instructions about the heating. In the letter it said there was a white gate, there wasn’t and the wi-fi code had a number missing.

We loved our stay at the Bladon Farmhouse. We were looking for a quiet, comfortable place for our family of 4 to stay that was close to Blenheim Palace, and this fit the bill perfectly. It was an easy 20-minute walk to the Palace through lovely fields. The Farmhouse itself is charming, clean, and comfortable, with a well-appointed kitchen for those looking to cook a few meals at the house. We immediately felt right at home in the thoughtfully designed and cosy rooms. The owner even provided a travel cot for our younger child so we didn’t have to bring out own. The Farmhouse is situated on the main road in the village, which is great for bus transit if you don’t have a car, but it’s not too noisy. The owner and the team at Short Let Stay were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout. We accidentally left behind an important item after we had checked out, and they responded to our calls immediately, helping us solve our problem very quickly. We would happily stay there again!

We absolutely loved our stay! The house is beautifully decorated, beds were very comfortable, and we had everything we needed for a wonderful week. It was such a help to have basic necessities like milk, eggs, juice, bread and butter waiting for us. Kelvin was a wonderful host with helpful information about the area. Like other reviews have said, it’s within walking to distance to Blenheim Palace, a short taxi ride to Oxford and a perfect location to explore the area. My family loved our time there and would highly recommend this lovely home!

Just about 25 mins outside of Oxford and backing into Blenheim Palace this was the perfect location for us as we were visiting family in the area. The house was very clean with nice touches such as fresh flowers, home baked bread and farm eggs. The owners live next door and were very personable and gave us helpful tips. The main road is a bit noisy so recommend opening the bathroom windows if you want some fresh air. However, overall I would highly recommend this house

This charming English cottage is a delightful farm house. It was quaint and peaceful with a wonderful flower garden out front. The owner lives next door and was very accommodating to feel at home and help advise on nearby things to do and see and pick up some groceries. The hosts left beautiful fresh cut flowers, bread, butter, milk, and juice to welcome us. The house is within walking distance to Churchill’s grave, The White House Pub, and the back entrance to Blenheim Palace. A taxi ride is needed to go any further. We wanted to stay in Bladon for our purpose and loved every second of our stay!

A very nice place in a good location next to Bleinham Palace. Convenient for Oxford and surrounding areas. A very useable and practical home. Everything we needed was made available to us and we were able to do some home cooking and baking. Kelvin was a great communicator and always was willing to consider any requests. We liked the place so much we already booked again, says it all!

Lovely home and the hosts were super friendly and helpful. We loved being so close to Blenheim Palace and spent lots of time there. It’s a 30 minute walk into Woodstock which we didn’t mind but worth noting if you have young kids or mobility issues as you will have to drive to get to the main town centre/restaurants/shops etc. Not the cheapest option out there but plenty of room for a family of four with access to all the great stuff the Cotswolds has to offer!

We had a really lovely stay. The cottage was perfect for us, a couple with two children. Two big bedrooms each with their own bathroom, a big kitchen and a nice sitting room to relax in. A welcome hamper of eggs, bread, milk, teabags etc was a lovely touch.
The cottage is very well located, within walking distance to Blenheim Palace and Woodstock which we loved.
Hosts Kelvin and Kate are very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.
