Home away from home in Oxford. The room was very clean and there are cleaners coming every second day or so to keep the common area in order. The property has all the amenities you can think of including iron board and clothes drying rack and cooking facilities to name a few. Walking distance to Oxford city centre.
Your room won’t be cleaned as often, for long stayers, sheets and towels are changed every 10 days, so you might need to do some washings in between – wasn’t a big issue for us.

The proximity to the train station and the university was great for me.

The room is newly furbished, clean and cozy. The neighbourhood is quiet and u can get to the train station in 10 min. I almost gave this stay a 5-star. Yet I am quite disappointed by the service/communication. In the pre-arrival message, it says late check-out could be arranged if upon request, raised at least 2-day before check out (upon availability). But when I talked to them, they told me the policy is “any check-out later than 10am you will have to pay for the following night” – well that means there is no such thing as late check-out! ???? And soon after I checked out today, they texted me and asked if I “mistakenly took the hairdryer” as they couldn’t find it. Well, there are only 2 drawers in the room. Please search thoroughly before u think your guest took it…

Great location (10 min walk from SBS); comfortable room; great WIFI – good place for a work trip.
Location was great, pleasant 10 min walk from SBS. It’s a house with many rooms. Room was comfortable with coffee & tea (no water offered); a shared kitchen and refrigerator for the house. Quiet place; WIFI was decent.

I would definitely recommend staying at the Oxford Lodge. The place has a home feeling, the room is equipped with everything you need (hair drier, towels, a kettle to prepare tea or coffee, and a small fridge), as well as the shared kitchen and living room area. Across the street, there is a supermarket.

I stayed in the Oriel room for almost 2 weeks. The entire place was well kept, nicely decorated and the kitchen fully stocked. It was also within 10 to 15 minutes walk from the city centre and really close to a lot of shops if you need anything. Had a pleasant time and would love to stay again.
