Initially, we had some difficulty getting to the house due to the road closure. The agent at Short Let Space was helpful and responsive. After understanding our concerns, advice was given and the agent(s) followed up to make sure that we were okay. I was touched by the owner, who contacted me directly after knowing that I was having issues with the road closure as I needed to help my daughter move several bulky luggage into her dorm located at the city centre. He was very helpful. Apart from the issues, the location and amenities in the house are fantastic, there are several large stores with cafes nearby. We were able to get everything we needed for my daughter’s dormitory. Hope the bridge/ road is fixed before the next time we arrive so we can rent this house again.

The location of this place is perfect – a short 10 minute walk into town and right across from a grocery store. The room itself is cozy but was immaculate. Overall, I would highly recommend this space!

Oct 2022

I stayed in the Exeter Room during my visit. Overall, I think this place was great. The rooms were well furnished and decorated, including the communal living room and kitchen. I was impressed by the level of detail that went into the design of the room. For the Exeter Room, the shower capsule is smaller than the rest so if you are of bigger built (say above 1.8 m), you may wish to consider other rooms in the Lodge instead. The landlord was also very friendly and helpful – and I felt very welcome as a result. Location is fantastic as well, just opposite Waitrose, a 10 min walk to the Rail Station, and a 15 min walk to Oxford City Centre. A very enjoyable stay and would recommend the property to others!

I had a great stay – the room was clean and cozy, and building is on a main road making it easy to walk or bus into Oxford city center. Also, management was quick and friendly in responding to any questions.
