The Foundry is a furnished two bedroom apartment located two kilometres from central Oxford sleeping up to four guests in two bedrooms with parking.

The third floor apartment is within a modern apartment building with lift access and is carpeted throughout. The living room is furnished with a comfortable sofa, easy chair and wide-screen TV, there is a dining table with seating for up to four guests. The living room has the added benefit of sliding doors leading out to a balcony with seating - perfect for relaxing in the warmer summer months. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need for a long or short stay in Oxford, including a variety of chinaware and utensils as well as a washer-dryer and dishwasher.

The family bathroom features a bath with overhead shower, wash basin and WC. The first bedroom is furnished with two single beds, work desk and storage for your belongings with built-in wardrobes. The second bedroom has a comfortable double bed, bedside tables, built-in wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom with shower, wash basin and WC.

The apartment benefits from allocated parking for one vehicle and is walking distance to shops, coffee shops and restaurants. The apartment is ideal for both short lets and extended stays, located in the fashionable Oxford suburb of Jericho and a short walk to shops, restaurants and Oxford City Centre.

About The Foundry:

  • Entry: Ground floor entry into a secluded apartment building. Note that CCTV is operational for guest security.
  • Bedroom one: Double bedroom with bed, bedside tables, built in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom with shower, WC and wash basin.
  • Bedroom two: Two single beds with built-in wardrobes, a desk and chair.
  • Family Bathroom: Includes a bath with overhead shower, WC, and wash basin.
  • Living Room: Comfortable sofas, wide-screen TV, coffee table, lamps, dining table and seating for up to four guests.
  • Kitchen: Fully stocked with cooking utensils and chinaware. Appliances include a washer-dryer, dishwasher, microwave and toaster.
  • Utility cupboard: With washing machine and dryer.

Outside Area

There is no communal garden but the glorious park area of Port Meadow is just fifteen minutes walk.
Please note: there is a graveyard to the side of the apartment building, this will be visible when you walk to and from the property and you will be able to see it from the balcony.

Parking

There is one off-road parking space available for a 'standard' size vehicle. Large vans or oversized SUV's will not fit into the space available. The space is situated in the basement car park with a height restriction of 2.15 m

Please note: Domestic electric vehicle chargers are not suitable for use at the property and are strictly forbidden. You are liable for any damage or loss suffered by us due to your unauthorised use of domestic chargers.

The Neighbourhood

Jericho is a fantastic base for your stay whilst in Oxford. Historically known as the residence of Oxford University Press and populated by print workers, Jericho has now evolved into a trendy and vibrant place to reside. The flat is a brief stroll away from some wonderful coffee houses and eateries.

Oxford city centre is just a mile's walk or an even shorter cycle away. And to add to all of this, in a mere five minute walk, you'll find yourself in the parkland known as Port Meadow, situated alongside the River Thames. A scenic three-mile walk will lead you to the village of Wolvercote and to one of our all-time favourite pubs, the Trout Inn.

The apartment is nice and cosy. Location is fairly central, 10-20 minutes walk from the city centre. Quite and peaceful neighbourhood, so we enjoyed good night sleep. The cemetery view was the only downfall, while peaceful, however wasn’t everyone’s favourite.

We enjoyed our visit to Jericho & Oxford. The apartment is very comfortable and quiet. Luckily we had nice enough weather to take advantage of the small balcony overlooking the charming St. Sepulchre’s cemetery. The neighbourhood is lovely with lots of places to dine, shop for wine & groceries. Don’t miss the Oxford Wine Co and Jericho Cheese Company. Initially we had a bit of confusion understanding the way to access the property but the Short Let Space staff were helpful & responsive. We recommend the apartment and would certainly return for another visit.

Lovely place. Parking and key safe a bit tricky to find, but instructions are comprehensive (a bit overwhelmingly long for me). Oven was a little mystifying to operate. Everything else 100% perfect. V comfortable, secure, quiet and spacious.

A conveniently located apartment, clean, modern and spacious. It was a pity that we had to ask one of the residents for the code to get through the gates on arrival and that the lift to the third floor was out of order. Fortunately these issues did not spoil our stay.
