Oxford University Department of International Development
The Oxford Department of International Development is part of the University’s Social Science Division and the focal point for research and postgraduate teaching on the developing world. The department was originally known as Queen Elizabeth House (QEH), and was constituted by Royal Charter in 1954 to provide a residential centre which people concerned with the study of Commonwealth affairs could visit to make contacts and exchange ideas.
In 2005 the department moved to Mansfield Road, Oxford which is its home to this day. Easily found on public transport links and has a variety of bars and restaurants nearby.
