Mesopotamia Walk
One of Oxford’s hidden gems, Mesopotamia Walk connects the University Parks to Headington Hill Park via a peaceful waterside walk. Mesopotamia’s name comes from the Greek ‘meso’ – meaning between – and ‘potamos’ – meaning river. With university sports grounds on either side, and bounded by the upper and lower levels of the River Cherwell, the walk offers a quiet route between the University Parks and King’s Mill Lane.
