Spiced Roots restaurant
Spiced Roots restaurant and rum bar on Cowley Road, Oxford, serves authentic Caribbean cuisine. Their menus are constantly evolving to incorporate the freshest seasonal produce but you will always have the option of having traditional dishes that incorporate ingredients like okra, plantain, rice and endless amounts of flavour. Enjoy dishes from jerk chicken, lamb chops, to chickpea curries and meat or fish stews. Accompany your meals by ordering something from the rum bar as each drink has its own story and compliments the flavours from the menu.
They have lunchtime deals where you can order filling box meals or loaded fries from just as little as £9.99 or order lots of sides to accompany chicken or patties.
They hold a monthly Caribbean Day Party on Sundays with Soca DJs, Doubles, Rum and island vibes from 3-9pm. This is something different from what you would usually experience so go and try something different.
To access the restaurant there are frequent bus services that go into the city centre within a few minutes or a 10 minute walk away. The Oxford Botanic gardens and Christ Church meadows are a walkable distance away from the restaurant if you want to enjoy a lovely walk.
