Times

St Giles

Oxford’s most popular funfair is back in St Giles this September 7-8th and open from 11am to 11pm on both days. Visit one of the UK’s largest and oldest traditional funfairs in Oxford City Centre dating back to 1625, where thousands of people come together to enjoy the games, food and exhilarating rides. Whether you are an adrenaline junkie and love rides where you are spun around and turned upside down or just want to shoot down some pins to win a teddy bear, this fair has it.

St Giles is located around the corner from the Ashmoleum Museum and The Randolph Hotel and is easily accessible by buses that come through Banbury Road (Buses 2, 2A, S4) and Woodstock road (6, 300, S3). Alternatively, get any bus into the city centre (400, 8, 15, 4, X3) and walk over to St Giles from the High Street. The fair is free to enter but individual rides range from £5-£20. In recent years the line up of rides have been: Reverse Bungee, the 100ft high star flyer, Dodgems cars, Ghost train, carousel, funhouse, toy trains.

St Giles Fair is suitable for all ages and an event bursting with energy that you won’t want to miss.
