Oxford Ethnography and Education Conference
The Oxford Ethnography and Education Conference (OEEC) 2025 will take place from Monday 8 to Wednesday 10 September at New College, Oxford. This annual gathering brings together scholars, educators, and researchers from around the world to engage in in-depth discussions on ethnographic research in education.
Established in the late 1970s, OEEC is renowned for its intimate and collaborative atmosphere, featuring approximately 60 pre-circulated papers each year. Each paper is allocated a 40-minute session, fostering rich dialogue among participants who have read the work in advance. The conference welcomes contributors from diverse disciplines, including education, sociology, and anthropology, and is particularly supportive of doctoral students and early-career researchers.
