Birdland – Discover Cotswolds Cottages

Birdland Park and Gardens in Bourton-on-the-Water is home to one of the largest collections of exotic birds in the UK. Located right here in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds, the park’s magical combination of woodland, riverside and gardens makes it the perfect day out.

Meet over 500 birds including birds of prey, large cassowary and rare species like the Waldrapp ibis. Spot flamingos, pelicans, cranes and waterfowl that live in our riverside habitats with many more inhabiting over 50 aviaries. You can even see England’s only breeding group of king penguins and the comical Humboldts.

Explore the Out of Africa area home to hornbills, village weavers and many more amazing birds from across the continent. Venture into the woodland and encounter life-sized dinosaurs lurking between the trees in the Jurassic Journey area or head to the Pandemonium of Parrots area and be amazed by vibrant and colourful parrots, macaws and lorikeets. And whatever you do, don’t miss the Park’s newest addition, the Parliament of Owls where visitors can meet some amazing species.
