Halloween Farm Trail

The Halloween Farm Trail is back for 2025. Offering fun for children of all ages especially those 3-15 years old. The trail will take you throughout the farm to discover a variety of challenges, tasks and puzzles. The trail is loosely based on Halloween and is much more about having fun on the farm. 

Please note: All children must be accompanied by an adult. Sturdy footwear is recommended. The trail is open 9:00 am until 4:00 pm 

Pumpkin Picking 

Get ready for a fun, family-friendly outing this Halloween season! Beginning around 26 October (subject to availability), Primrose Vale is offering timed entry to its Pick-Your-Own (PYO) pumpkin patch on weekends throughout October and during the October half term. Tickets purchased in advance are fully redeemable against the pumpkins you choose, making it a savvy way to pick your perfect gourd. Expect to wander through earthy, vine-rich patches (so wear gloves and sturdy footwear)

Please note: Sorry, no dogs permitted on the trail or the pumpkin fields.

You can also visit the Farm Shop on Primrose Vale offering a variety of seasonal produce including your own pumpkin!

Hadsham Farm – Spookyard Halloween Festival 

Enjoy the October Half Term at Hadsham Farm where they are all about the pumpkin – growing it, picking it, eating it and celebrating the seasonal produce! With a handful of amazing events to take part in this year from pumpkin picking, Goblin hunts, mazes and so much more.

The Pumpkin Pick

Pack your wellies, collect a sledge and head into the pumpkin patch where you can choose your perfect pumpkin. With a variety of sizes and types available. 

The Pumpkin Barn 

The Pumpkin Barn is the place where you can transform your pumpkin into a spooky carving for decorating your home this Halloween season. 

Please note: That pumpkin carving can be dangerous and is therefore only for adults over 16 years old. 

The Grocer’s Display offers a selection of carefully picked pumpkins that are best for eating, perfect for those who don’t want to pick one from the field. And the Hadsham Cafe has some yummy cakes on offer. There is also a crafting area with fun activities such as colouring and decorating pumpkins. 

The Pumpkin Munchery

The Pumpkin cooks have been hard at work in the munchery, busy making up delicious pumpkin dishes. You can chat to the cooks, taste the delicious dishes (from pumpkin soup, to pumpkin cake, to pumpkin pickle) and take away new ideas for pumpkin feasting.

Spooky Sensory Trail

Use your five senses to explore the wooded area on the farm. The trail is approximately 400m long; although it is flat, off-road pushchairs are advised.

Gloucester Prison: Paranormal Investigation

Discover the secrets of this historic site with over 1000 years of goings on! From the Norman castle right up to 2012 Gloucester Prison has been witness to local events including the execution of over 120 convicts, many of whom remain on site in unmarked graves.

Using the latest technology and more traditional methods, investigate the hundreds of rooms, corridors and wings of the Georgian, Victorian and mid 20th century buildings. They do not use mediums or special effects and results vary from person to person, night to night. Whatever you learn, you’ll have a lot of fun!
