Winchester City Mill
Winchester City Mill is an ancient water mill, café with island garden and wildlife spot in the heart of Winchester.
This Mill is a unique and well-preserved instance of an urban corn mill in Winchester, with origins extending back for a minimum of 1000 years, tracing its roots to the reign of King Alfred. The café is housed in the most beautiful setting and outside seating overlooks the River Itchen. There is also a second-hand bookshop for all avid readers to explore. The island garden offer a small but perfectly formed oasis in the model of city with view over the river.
The mill is free to enter and is ran by the National Trust.
