Fireworks in Oxfordshire 2026: Bonfire Night Displays and Where to Stay
Bonfire Night falls on Thursday 5 November this year, and Oxfordshire’s fireworks season runs from 3 to 14 November. Whether you want a big-ticket display in Oxford, a low-noise show for little ones or a traditional village bonfire, there’s something on almost every night.
We’ve rounded up the displays across the county, from South Park to the Cotswold edge. And if you’re travelling in for the fireworks, we’ve added ideas for turning the evening into a weekend away.

Make a Weekend of It
With the biggest displays falling on 6–8 and 14 November, it’s easy to turn the fireworks into a short break. Here are three ways to plan it.
Oxford city weekend (6–8 November)
See the South Park spectacular on Saturday night, then spend Sunday exploring the colleges, the Covered Market and a riverside walk along the Thames. Staying in the city means you can walk home after the display and skip the post-fireworks traffic.
