The Sculptors Studio

The small studio apartment was exactly as described in a good location for trips to Oxford and the Cotswolds. It is convenient for the Pear Tree Park & Ride service into the city and there are good bus and rail connections too. It is a light and airy place, clean and pleasantly decorated without being fussy, with adequate heating, storage space and all needed kitchen/bathroom facilities. It is an ideal place for two to share with ample room and all necessary furniture. The host gave clear instructions on how to check in and out and also how to use the items in the place. Parking for a medium size car outside is no problem. Given its location and character, there is some road noise and one has to be careful with the low sloping ceilings at the sides of the bedroom. However, these are not criticisms at all as the place is so nice and very comfortable for a short stay to explore the local area. Highly recommended. Thanks!

Excellent place to stay. Close to a decent pub, and only 5 mins walk to Han borough Train Station for trains to Oxford. Great facilities and cosy with everything you would need.

It was a convenient and pleasant place to stay in this beautiful village. Location was brilliant – a short walk to the station into Oxford and London Paddington, or a drive to many of the beautiful villages of the Cotswolds and Oxfordshire. The luxury brand outlets at Bicester are less than 30 minutes away and you can walk through the grounds at nearby Blenheim palace for free. The town and surrounding areas have gorgeous pubs serving wonderful meals. The accommodation was basic but pleasant and it’s located in a private community with gorgeous vegetable garden.
The vehicles on the nearby road caused the whole apartment to shake at times – though you do get used to it. There was no powder for the washing machine, which I discovered after loading it! The airing rail was damaged so hard to dry anything. I personally found the mattress springs hard and uncomfortable but that can be a matter of preference.

I greatly enjoyed my stay at the sculptor’s cottage. Perfect for a couple or solo traveler. The stay offers the ambiance of the English countryside while Oxford and surrounding towns are easily accessible by train or bus. Highly recommend!

It’s a really beautiful place, the owner clearly takes a lot of care of the little details. We were very comfortable staying here, everything worked well. Also a very nice village, one stop from Oxford and with a direct train to London too. Short walk to Blenheim Palace. You can hear the road, but we slept well all the same.

Lovely studio, as described and a very friendly host. We were quite chilly when we arrived but couldn’t turn the heating up as it was preset to a low temperature. It was cosy and warm upstairs though. Apart from that everything was great.

Definitely cozy and well organized, ideal for two people. During the day you can hear some noise from the adjacent street but at night it is still very quiet. ideal place for those who want to visit the surroundings and take long walks. During the stay, there was always attention and courtesy for our requests. Congratulations

an excellent stay in a well equipped apartment with a very friendly helpful owner who lives next door. The arrangement for heating the place is problematic. the email giving the procedure does not match the control in the kitchen so we had no control on increasing or decreasing the temperature.

This was a well designed and beautifully furnished cottage -ideal for two people. Great location and very comfortable bed.

Beautiful place very close to one of the back entrances to the public area of Blenheim palace. The flat was spacious, very clean, all newly renovated with everything needed. The landlord was lovely as well (we briefly met when going out one of the days). The place was in fact even better than we expected on the photos. Superb for a stay in the Oxford area!

Comfortable, clean and cosy! Booked this whilst staying away with work, an absolutely fantastic property with everything that you need for a comfortable stay! Property was spotless throughout and Marie was a lovely host. Bed super comfy and spacious with high quality bedding. Kitchen has all the essentials that you need to cook a full variety of meals. The local pub round the corner is about a 2 minute walk and was also warm and friendly with good food!
