Station Cottage

It is a warm, very well appointed cottage.

So easy to find and amazing information pack. The train into Oxford was much cheaper and quicker than expected. Some train noise but nothing disturbing. Beautiful place with amazing kitchen facilities as well as a tall spacious fridge freezer. Sky on the tv as well. Internet is a little patchy in the area but nothing drastic. Bathroom pristine and bed was comfy with plenty of storage space in the bedroom.

Right on top of the station, shower gets lovely and hot, everything you could need.

Ideal location to explore the Oxford area with rail and bus links literally on the doorstep. Private parking right outside was very convenient. We visited Blenheim / Woodstock by bus with a service that ran every half hour and went into late evening. Lovely pub with food in the village . The cottage itself had everything you needed with all the usual facilities available.

We live in North Carolina and visit the area frequently due to family that lives nearby. Our usual let property/company was unavailable and we decided to give Short Let Space a try and we were not disappointed! We couldn’t be more pleased with our experience. The team was very responsive, professional, and courteous prior to and during our 12-day visit. We were initially concerned about being so close to the trains and platform but we were pleasantly surprised by how little train noise we heard. Our only suggestion, as already mentioned in other reviews, is there needs to be more comfortable seating. The furniture for seating is just not very comfortable. We will definitely use Short Let Space again for future visits.

Nice cosy property for a short stay. It was lovely and warm with a very comfortable bed and all the kitchen appliances were there for use if we needed. Liked the look of the outside when we arrived. However, the settee wasn’t the best for comfort and armchair looked as though it needed replacing. WiFi code needed to be written more clearly and perhaps leaflets about the area and useful information could have been left on the worktop on arrival and information about bins and recycling too.

A lovely cottage, nicely decorated with modern fresh kitchen/lounge area, well equipped with appliances. A good sized bedroom with nice bedding. The shower was enormous with lovely hot water, and towels supplied too. Warm and comfortable cottage. The property is close to the train line, not particularly noisy, but ideal location to get the train for Oxford. Thank you! We have had a lovely short stay here, and would recommend this cottage, and hope to visit again.

Perfectly comfortable and clean flat, well located. Perfectly located for Oxford (10’ train ride, one every hour); and Blenheim Palace (10’ bus ride, twice per hour, or 45’ walk along ‘community path’ through the Park), clean and comfortable. Good shower.

I was in need of somewhere with easy access to Oxford and this could not have been better. The station platform was moments from the front door, which was perfect. There is some train noise of course but it did not disturb me once. It was great to be able to walk out to the platform, see that the train was delayed, and wander back home to wait! An off-peak return to Oxford Station was £4.20 and the journey was about nine minutes so it worked out very well for me. The rooms are nicely decorated and equipped. I felt very at home. It had everything I needed like speedy broadband, a well-equipped kitchen, lots of hot water in the shower and a very comfortable bed. The linen was crisp, white and clean – luxury! I did not need to communicate with the landlords whilst I was there but the information I received from both them and AirBnB in the run up to my visit was very helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and was sad to leave!
