We had a great stay at buttercup lodge. It was a great place to stay while we explored the local area. The lodge had everything we needed and was very comfortable. It was a quiet location and loved watching the horses next door and the bunnies out the window in the morning. Would throughly recommend for a small group of adults (we were 3 people) or a family. Would be keen to revisit.

Beautiful cottage in a quiet area! The small garden is fenced so the dog cannot run away. He really enjoyed the paths along the fields. Otherwise, nothing is missing in the house. Everything you need is there. Also in the kitchen. We also really liked the rustic wooden bathrooms.

Dec 2024

A few suggestions. Invest in a 6ft bed in main bedroom and / or upgrade the mattress. Springs are worn and uncomfortable. No shampoo or shower gel at property. Essential to have for late night arrival at property. Is the first place I’ve ever stayed where this has not been provided in some way. No chopping or bread boards provided. Would be essential to have. Internet needs upgrading. Was poor signal and intermittent connectivity.

Just lovely! A great place to stay! So spacious and brand new as it looks. I could live there. The place is a 10, period. We booked the lodge to do day trips to Oxford. That’s a 30 minute drive every time. It’s okay, but bear that in mind.

Well-designed and attractive minimalist eco lodge, has clearly been built and decorated relatively recently, communication from the host company was great including videos of how to find the lodge and how to work the key safe (which I needed!). Lovely quiet countryside location with a stables right next door – the kids loved watching the horses, and even had a chat with two riders practicing their jumps outside the bathroom window one evening! Car parking excellent and EV charging worked without a hitch.

A relaxing, open and clean space in a pretty location. Not far from pretty towns to explore. The small bedroom is downstairs which we didn’t realise but it worked fine. My toddler enjoyed having lots of space to run around inside and playing in the garden seeing the horses in the field. We enjoyed cooking in beautiful, modern kitchen and enjoying the comfy sofa in the evenings.

Lovely quiet place in the countryside. The cabin itself is beautiful, spacious clean and comfortable. Nice walks nearby, close to Henley, Marlowe and Reading. The cabin overlooks horse paddocks to the back, the garden is nice and private. The little balcony off the main bedroom is so special overlooking the countryside. Lots of natural light with all the velux windows. Owners are close by if needed were very friendly and kind. Would definitely stay again if we come back to the area.
