10 things That Create Repeat Bookings For A Holiday-Let

There are certain things that make a holiday let stand out from other holiday lets which will then create repeat bookings and positive guest reviews.

  1. Thoughtful touches throughout the property. By having colourful cushions, blankets, paintings on the wall, this will make your property feel like a home and not just a property set up for someone to sleep. It will make guests feel comfortable and provide them with a home away from home. Interior design of a holiday-let is a positive aspect guests like to write about in their reviews and it is a stand-out feature.
  2. Comfortable mattresses and bedding. When guests stay somewhere they want to feel comfortable and get a good night’s sleep which is why a high quality mattress and 2 pillows per guest is important. A bad mattress can persuade guests to leave a negative review impacting future bookings.
  3. Fast reliable WIFI. The first thing every guest looks for when they check in is for the WIFI password. Slow WIFI can frustrate guests, especially if it is a guest who is staying for business and needs to carry out work in their accommodation. Paying a bit extra for high speed internet is worth it for guest satisfaction.
  4. TV subscription services. Guests want to feel at home and relax and having subscription services like Netflix, Disney or Amazon Prime is a positive touch that guests enjoy and appreciate.
  5. Parking spaces. Many guests travel down with their cars and therefore reliable on-site parking or off the road parking for 1-2 is important. Many guests book properties based on whether parking is available.
  6. Good transport links and accessible location. Having a property near bus stops with easy access into main cities and towns is favourable by guests as it makes it easy for them to explore and is essential if guests aren’t driving down or if there are no parking spaces available at the property.
  7. Welcome basket. By having a basket with a few basic supplies for when guests arrive this sets them up before they have a chance to go to the shops. Short Let Space provides each of our properties with a welcome basket filled with biscuits, sugar, coffee, tea, milk.
  8. Outdoor space. Having a secure, well-kept garden or a balcony are advantages for guests to relax in, enjoy their meals and have great conversations. For longer stays and repeat bookings, an outdoor space provides guests with greater breathing space and positive reviews.
  9. Nearby amenities. Green spaces, nature walks, tourist attractions, local pubs and cafes and aspects that guests appreciate having near the property. Having shops nearby and places to explore that doesn’t require getting transport to is beneficial and a main factor that guests comment on in their reviews.
  10. Pet friendly. Many guests have pets and want the ease of being able to travel with them on holiday which is why it is an advantage of having a property that is set up for pets. We have many properties that are pet-friendly which you can check out here.
