The 14th Oxford Stuttering and Cluttering Research Conference (formerly known as the Oxford Dysfluency Conference) will be held from September 23 to 26, at St Catherine’s College, Oxford. Under the theme “Building the Future,” this biennial event brings together researchers, clinicians, and speech-language professionals to explore the latest advancements in stuttering and cluttering research and therapy. The conference aims to bridge the gap between research and clinical practice, promoting evidence-based interventions informed by sound theory. Key topics include:

  • Conceptualizing stuttering
  • Genetics and neurophysiology
  • Beyond speech: the broader experience of disfluency
  • Cluttering and acquired stuttering
  • Advancing clinical practice through research

Featured speakers include Kurt Eggers (Belgium), Rodney Gabel (USA), Elaine Kelman (UK), Nan Bernstein Ratner (UK), and Bridget Walsh (USA). The conference is co-chaired by Sharon Millard (UK) and Shelley B. Brundage (USA), supported by an international committee of experts
