Thames View is a four bedroom family home situated just ten minutes walk from the centre of Oxford city, just a few minutes walk away from the newly developed Westgate Shopping Centre in the heart of Oxford, but also has amazing views of the River Thames and parkland.

The home is accessed through the ground floor and you are met with a downstairs family bathroom with shower, wash basin and WC. There is also a utility room with a washing machine, dryer and study desk. Five stairs lead up to the first floor, where you will find the living-dining-kitchen area with easy chairs and a circular dining table with seating for up to eight guests. The kitchen is fully equipped and fitted with everything you would need for a long or short stay in Oxford, including all the chinaware and utensils you would need.

Ascend another flight of stairs and you will find the first bedroom, which is furnished with a single bed, a bookcase and storage for your belongings. The second bedroom features a comfortable double bed and wardrobe with hanging space for your belongings. Five stairs lead up to the family bathroom with a large bath with overhead shower, WC and wash basin. The living room is also located on this level with three comfortable sofas, wide screen TV and a small balcony allowing you to enjoy the fresh air and warmer weather.

Bedroom three is located up another flight of stairs and is furnished with a comfortable double bed, bookcases and wardrobes with hanging space. Ascend stairs to find another bathroom featuring a shower, wash basin and WC. The fourth bedroom is located on this floor with a double bed, wide screen TV, storage for all of your belongings and a balcony with views of the River Thames and parkland.

The home benefits from a private garden with patio area and parking for one vehicle, at the front of the property, parking for a second car or visitors is available in a paid car park only a 15 minutes walk away.

The place is perfect. It is walkable distance from centre of the town and the atmosphere around the listing is quite and beautiful beside the river. Also the host responded quickly everytime when I asked questions.

A group of six of us rented Thames View for a week in November.  The location was perfect:  an easy walk into the center of Oxford, but just distant enough to be quiet and peaceful.  The house has views over 2 rivers with walking paths next to both, which was an unexpected bonus as someone who likes to hike.  The house was clean, spacious, and very comfortable (the mattress in our bedroom was one of the best I’ve ever slept on):  the three bathrooms were appreciated and the sitting room was the “hang out” spot for the week.  I will mention there are a lot of stairs in the house which wasn’t a problem for us, but is something to consider if someone in a party has mobility issues.  All in all, I couldn’t have been more pleased with the house.  Excellent value for the money and I’ll stress once more that the location was ideal for us

Brilliant! House was like a tardis: small on the outside but inside..as we opened the door, the space kept growing! Perfect for our family- of 7 adults aged 30+ so we loved the space. Furnished with good quality pieces – and beautiful art work. And books.. so many- and who has books that aren’t just show pieces these days! In heaven. Short Lets was very helpful and responsive. As for location? If you know anything about parking in Oxford( a nightmare!) , we could walk everywhere! Will likely come again as we return to the UK a lot. Only suggestion: a real paper instruction booklet! For eg the oven. A Smeg. Now that was weird and only got one working. Thankyou!

We had a really enjoyable stay here with 3 generations of our family. The property is in a quiet location, with gorgeous views of the river from the living room and and top floor bedroom balconies. It is within a 5 min walk of the Westgate shopping centre which has a great selection of shops / restaurants. The main sites of Oxford are within a 20 – 30 min walk. There is off road parking for two cars. It is very comfortable, well equipped and we would be very happy to stay there again.

A lovely place – very clean and well equipped and as described. There were only 4 of us so very spacious but plenty room for 7. Great location . Very quiet spot overlooking river but only 15 mins walk to centre, 5 mins walk to hop on off bus and John Lewis . 20 min stroll along river to where you can get a boat cruise. Would definitely recommend.

We loved this place! It was absolutely perfect for a group of four to explore Oxford. Not only is it in a very cute, quiet neighborhood next to the river, but it was close to many colleges which made walking around to sightsee a breeze. The place was clean and well stocked. We would absolutely stay here again and would definitely recommend it! The SLS team was very easy to get in contact with when we did have questions. They made the check in and check out procedure a breeze.

Thames View is such a lovely home overlooking the river. Incredibly easy walk into town and close to lots of bus routes and the train station as well. Lots of space and great kitchen for cooking! Just a lovely place to stay in Oxford.

We had a very enjoyable stay. It’s a great house, warm, comfortable and quiet, and we loved the cheerful and cosy living areas and the wonderful river views. Great to have 3 bathrooms. The agency responded quickly to a request for more teaspoons. The location is amazing- lovely river walks from the doorstep, and a short walk into town. Highly recommended.

Perfect location for shopping and ice skating (there is an ice skating ring about 10 minutes walk away). And we enjoyed walking around Oxford University area everyday:) Highly recommended.
