Overview

Set in rolling countryside, Greenhill Farmhouse is a spacious farmhouse located on the outskirts of the village of Bletchingdon, approx. 4 miles from the historic town of Woodstock.

Greenhill Farmhouse is located within Greenhill Farm, which also hosts a caravan site approx. 500 yards from the house (but the house is secluded) and sits in over 400 acres of private land where guests can walk freely in the open countryside. The land also has four lakes which you can fish from - they are well stocked with bream, tench, roach & carp. The location is a walker's paradise with the chance to spot wild deer, foxes and birds of prey, all in their natural environment. The secure eight acre dog exercise field also gives your furry family members the chance to enjoy themselves off lead.

The farmhouse has everything you would need for a long or short stay for a large family gathering; with a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table and chairs. The dining room has seating for up to eight guests. The spacious, comfortable living room has sofas and easy chairs with wall mounted TV - perfect for relaxing after a busy day exploring.
The bedrooms are located on the first and second floors, offering a range of double beds, king size beds and twin bedrooms. On the second floor there are attic rooms that can be used as an additional living room area with wide screen TV.

The farmhouse benefits from a patio area that does catch the sun most of the day and a large private lawn area which is ideal for children to play safely. The farmhouse also has parking for up to three cars - please note that no commercial vehicles or minibuses are allowed on the site. The farmhouse is also pet friendly for up to two well behaved dogs, to be kept on the ground floor.

First Floor:

There is a spacious private patio area with dining tables and chairs. The patio catches the sun for most of the day. There is a spacious private lawn area which is ideal for children to play in safely.

There is parking available for a maximum of three cars. Please note that no commercial vehicles or minibuses are allowed on site. Domestic electric vehicle chargers are not suitable for use at the property and are strictly forbidden. You are liable for any damage or loss suffered by us due to your unauthorised use of domestic chargers.

The Neighbourhood

Greenhill Farmhouse is located just 3 miles from the Cotswolds town of Woodstock which is famous for Blenheim Palace and estate. The home is 10 miles or so from the heart of the Cotswolds with pretty villages such as Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and Chipping Norton. Oxford is just 11 miles away, Bicester Village is 8 miles away.

The home is situated within a private estate with onsite fishing lakes. Nearby you have the River Cherwell and River Thames for water activities and the Oxford Canal. The local walks around the Oxfordshire countryside are stunning.

The house was immaculate with gorgeous big bedrooms and great bathrooms. Great location, close to Woodstock, Kite Festival etc – it is in the centre of caravan/campsite – between the reception and the cafe – which might not be obvious from the listing. The team at Greenhill farm were lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful.

What a beautiful location! Fantastic views. Cottage was comfortable, very well equipped and full of light. Kitchen had everything you could possibly want and then some. Bedrooms had en-suites in both rooms and lovely bath products. Beds were comfortable and I got a great nights sleep. We saw outside, deer, hares, owls and red kites, which were nesting close by. And a final note about our hosts, who went above and beyond to make our stay lovely.

Large and generous house which has been tastefully renovated. Served us well as a central location for a widespread family group. Super comfy beds – all slept well. Plenty of indoor space to use during a damp weekend. The adjacent caravan park was very quiet and unobtrusive in April and we appreciated the fresh green space around the house.

We had a lovely stay at Greenhill Farm House. The property was exactly as described and lovely surroundings. There is a campsite next to the house and also a kids playground, café and small convenience shop.

Absolutely beautiful surroundings and beautiful space – loved it!

The cottage is absolutely beautiful and perfect for a family holiday (we have three small children). Nestled in a wonderfully peaceful and stunningly beautiful corner of the Cotswolds – it only ever seemed 30 minutes max from everywhere we wanted to go. Couldn’t recommend highly enough and we hope to be back soon.

The house was beautiful. Spotlessly clean and had everything you could want. The area was great too, the location of the house had lovely fields and lakes to walk around and surrounding areas like Blenheim Palace, Broadway Tower, Burton-on-the-Water and so much more, needed another couple to days to explore.

Beautiful big house full of character and charm surrounded by 400 acres of land with a shop and a restaurant literally outside the front door, a very well done interior and beautiful garden, very large rooms with very comfortable beds. By far the best place I have ever stayed in on booking.com
