About the Neighbourhood

The cottage is situated in the hamlet of Thrupp which is a picturesque spot on the Oxford Canal. This is a small canal-side community made of thirty or so houses and a lovely pub.  There are always several canal boats moored up along the canal which makes for a very friendly and interesting walk to the pub as everyone says hello.

Just outside the cottage there is a tea shop and a canoe hire shop.

Thrupp is within easy reach of Oxford city, Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds. There are beautiful walks along the canal into the Oxfordshire countryside.
