Burford

Often referred to as “The Gateway to the Cotswolds”, Burford is a great base for your staycation in the Cotswolds. The heart of Burford is the iconic steep High Street with the most wonderful shops, tea rooms and pubs on both sides. Bourton on the Water

This hugely popular village in the Cotswolds is a wonderful place to choose to staycation in the Cotswolds. Through the centre of the large village runs the River Windrush, the banks of which are the perfect setting for a picnic or enjoying some lazy play. The village is best known for the low bridges over the river and the beautiful traditional Cotswold stone houses. 

In the village are three of the most visited attractions in the Cotswolds: The Cotswold Motoring Museum, displaying a vast collation of vintage cars. Birdland, a great family attraction featuring parrots, owls, king penguins, life-size model dinosaurs, and much more. The Model Village, a 1930s scale replica of the very village it is in.

Woodstock

Home of the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace, is one of our most fabulous areas to choose as your base for a staycation in the Cotswolds. The centre of this famous Georgian town with its attractive period buildings and beautiful squares, has so much to offer, so many places to explore, and an absolute abundance of eateries, museums and places of interest. 
In the very centre of Woodstock is the Oxfordshire Museum and the Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum, both offering visitors an interesting stroll down a historic memory lane of the area.
