Cotswold Farm Park

Best days out for children around Oxford-Cotswold Farm Park

With three boys under four years of age, Cotswold Farm Park has become officially one of our top ten best places to take children around Oxford.

The Farm Park offers a great mix of activities for children of all ages and you are guaranteed a car load of quiet and exhausted children all the way home.

Started in 1971 for the purpose of protecting rare breeds of farm animals, Cotswold Farm park has developed into one of the UK's finest open farms and rare breed centres. Cotswold Farm Park is owned by Adam Henson who is passionate about farming and a regular feature on TV programmes such as Spring Watch.

Features:

  • Animal feeding barns where kids can have great hands on experience of feeding and holding animals throughout the year.
  • Ride on tractors and an array of rare breeds of goats, sheep, pigs and cattle.
  • Strong educational ethos and the sign posting and information throughout is extremely well done.

How to get there
Cotswold Farm Park is tucked away in one of the most picturesque area of the Oxfordshire Cotswolds. There are several routes from Oxford by car, but my favourite is to avoid the busy A40 and to head out through Woodstock and the pretty Cotswold villages of Chipping Norton, Stow-on-the-Wold and the Slaughters.

Opening
The Farm is open from the middle of February to the end of September. Check website for exact dates and prices:
