University Parks
Sitting between the University’s Science Area and the leafy suburbs of North Oxford, the University Parks are a large area of parkland open to all. Offering flat walks which take in the diverse tree species and the River Cherwell, the park features a number of facilities – including tennis courts and public toilets. Visitors looking for a longer walk can follow the footpath over the curved bridge to the suburb of Marston – offering a chance to see horses, cows, and deer – or follow the cycle path towards Parson’s Pleasure, where water cascades over the weir. From the University Parks, it’s possible to access the secluded waterside walk of Mesopotamia – leading down towards the east of Oxford.
