The Cherwell Boathouse
The Cherwell Boathouse is a riverside attraction offering a café, restaurant, and punt rental facility. With tens of hand-made boats to choose from, punts can accommodate up to six people. Heading north from the Cherwell Boathouse will take punters towards the Victoria Arms Pub in Old Marston, and offer commanding views over the Oxfordshire countryside, while heading south will lead to the leafy University Parks. In summer, the bankside restaurant offers stunning views from a terrace overlooking the river, and seasonal menus are updated throughout the year. The ‘Tea Hut’ café, which opens at weekends from April to September, offers warm-weather refreshments including soft drinks, ice-cream, and Pimm’s.
