Chipping Norton Museum of Local History
An independent museum located on the first floor of the 19th century Chipping Norton Co-op Society Meeting Hall and run by the local history society. Among the many exhibits are prehistoric and Roman artefacts, a display of farming equipment, a hands-on replica of a between wars kitchen, and much more.
In the Museum you will also find a reference section for family history research including copies of parish records; a valuable collection of more than two thousand postcards of local places and events arranged in albums, and a museum shop.
The entrance to the museum is opposite the town hall steps.
