Charlbury Museum
Charlbury Museum is an independent museum, run entirely by volunteers. Its five rooms are crammed with exhibits revealing the history of this ancient market town. There is plenty here to interest both adults and children.
The contents include a blacksmith’s forge, glove-making tools, a penny-farthing bicycle, watchmaker’s tools, helmets and gasmasks, Victorian costumes, old shop and inn signs, and a large collection of farm tools.
There is a large collection of photographs of Charlbury, and its people at work and play in years gone by, along with records of births and deaths which may be of special interest to those researching their family tree.
